Daisuke awoke with a start at the high-pitched ringing of the doorbell.
“I’m coming!” He heard a feminine voice call from the kitchen below.
He groaned as he sat up. His face was red with fever, while the rest of his body was covered in sweat.
“Man!” He muttered to himself in a low, scratchy voice. “The day that Satoshi asked me to go somewhere with him, & I get sick! This is just my luck!”
